For decades the Texas Department of Agriculture checked the accuracy of gas pumps, when TDA employees found more and more gas stations with skimmers on the pumps Sid informed us about the danger including the locations of the gas stations.

The station owners freaked out and spread money around Austin to stop Sid.

Why would those we elect to represent us protect the credit card skimmers?

The TDA label on the fuel pumps was large and included a phone number to call the TDA to report any problems, the TDA had an inspector at the location within 3 business days.

Our elected legislators stopped Sid by taking away the gas stations and giving it to another state agency that did not have enough employees around the state to handle the workload.

Why are gas stations not responsible for the crime on their gas pumps? They are open 24/7, have cameras, and receive their money for the gas that was purchased.

was bad because his name
was on the TDA sticker.
Sid took ownership and responsibility.
Something that escapes most politicians.

Why did they stop the
employees at the TDA who
were protecting us?

protect the skimmers on the
gas pumps of their members

Sid Miller warned our Legislators
it would increase identity theft.
They ignored him. 

It increased idenity theft.
Is supporting crime what you
expect from those you elect?

Why are the gas stations not
responsible for the crime
committed on their property?

They own the pumps.
They are getting their money,
they would know if the
skimmers took their money.
Must be a very wealthy lobby.
